Vigo!

Vigo is a small but really nice town. I love the ambiance, landscapes, and the cute streets.

The best season to go there is in the winter but it is still worth it to go in the summer.

To go there:

To go to Vigo, you can go by the train, plane, bus, or car depending on where you come from.

To go there you can take the plane from Madrid or Barcelona. The airport is really small so there are not many destinations to come from.

You can always come from Santiago de Compostela or A Coruña by train. There are 2 different train stations in the city. Both are really close to the city center, it is easy to walk there. The station Vigo Guixar is just a regular small train station. The second station Vigo Urzaiz is really fun to go to if you love shopping. The station is basically a mall full of stores.

You can also come by bus from Porto but be aware it is a 5-hour drive.

If you ever take the car, be careful because there is not many parking.

Accommodation:

I recommend to only go there for the day. If you want to stay the night, the best is to take a hotel in the center.

Things to do:

If you go, there in the winter you will have the opportunity to go to the Christmas market!

Vigo is very known for their Christmas market and their Christmas lights. The hall town is decorated for the occasions. There are a lot of people, and the ambiance is really pleasant. There are attractions, little Christmas stores and a lot of food. The stores are cheap with a great quality. The food is cheap and delicious.

In the evening, when it is dark, you should walk around town to discover all of the lights and huge Christmas light structure that you can walk through. There is music and a lot of people, it has a heartwarming atmosphere.

If you love nature and nice views, I recommend walking to the Castello de Castro. The walk there is really nice and the view on the sea is stunning. The Castle itself isn’t really interesting but the park around is aggregable.

It is a very nice city that is very enjoyable to walk around. If you want to go shopping, the best street to got to is Rua Principe. The mall by the seaside is not really worth it.
